Encroaching to Death on Freedom

Hanging onto Nothing notes rightly the dangerous world in which we live is made no more safe by the AMA's push for "presumed consent" re the donation of organs. This kind of thinking regarding the public respect for the individual has left us with this twisted reality:

Apparently a flag has more rights than a pre-born baby (as evidenced by this consideration alone), a mentally disabled woman, or the clinically dead. Don’t get me wrong, I have great respect for the symbol of our freedom. But it is just a symbol, and one that could soon represent only our last freedom: death.
