Oh, the Fun It Would Be If It Were the DOJ's Response

Thanks to the Regular Guy, I am acquiring a taste for The Other McCain, to wit, this parodied response (by Smitty) to a three-judge panel of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ordering the Justice Department to answer by Thursday whether the Obama Administration believes that the courts have the right to strike down a federal law:

Dear 5th Circuit...

So, like, this is a response to your way totally uptight letter dated April III, MMXII. Noting that it was dated, you know, April III, we figured that this was three times an April Fool’s joke, or something.

And so we’re including with this little memo your three single-spaced pages. Yeah, you might think “They’re blank!”, and stuff. But we worked totally hard to get a single space character on each one. Get it? Single spaced? (read more)
